Divine Misdemeanors
by Laurell K. Hamilton
? pages (hardcover)
Genre: Fiction/Fantasy/Romance

Decent plot; I think Hamilton is slowly climbing out of her self-dug pit. Still reminds me of Twilight via wish-fulfillment, but y'know, I read Twilight too.

Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury
165 pages (paperback, 190 pages including Afterword and Coda)
Genre: Fiction/SF/Literary

Quite powerful for a practically novella-length tale, but it hasn't stuck in my brain.

Ella Enchanted
by Gail Carson Levine
232 pages (trade paperback)
Genre: Fiction/YA/Fantasy

This book still makes me cry. A reread of a childhood favorite, though I was unable to mooch the particular edition of my mind's eye.

Branded Sanctuary
by Joey W. Hill
? pages
Genre: Fiction/Romance

I love Hill's vampire series, but while her contemporaries are emotionally powerful, they don't seem to be engaging my long-term interest. This one is also part of a multi-book plot... I'll read the others eventually because they're Hill, not because they're part of the series.

Genre: Fiction/Romance/SF

Sensing a trend here with the comfort reads? Romance usually falls into that category for me. Easy to lose myself in. This was sufficient, but not particularly memorable.

The Truth
by Terry Pratchett
324 pages (hardcover)
Genre: Fiction/Fantasy/Humor

Great, as always. I wish there was more Vetinari. This volume concerns William de Worde, a disillusioned aristocratic son who starts the city's first newspaper and must also investigate a plot to overthrow Vetinari. It made an interesting comparison with the next Pratchett book I read, below, with regard to truth vs. honesty.

Incidentally, there's a lot of cute Vetinari/Drumknott fanfic out there. *hum*

Men at Arms
by Terry Pratchett
377 pages (paperback)
Genre: Fiction/Fantasy/Humor

Re: C. (Corporal-to-Captain) Carrot's unwilling kingmaking gone awry. Carrot/Angua are oh-so-cute. Vimes marries Lady Sybil Ramkin, and shortly becomes Commander of the Watch through an unrelated series of events/coincidences/coercions.
