Yuletide!

My gift fic, By My Signale, is gorgeous and lovely and true to canon and oh, I don't know what else to say. I've done a first read-through, mostly of my favorite fandoms; Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series and Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint series are well-represented in particular, with some wonderful stories. Alas, no one wrote for Guy Gavriel Kay's Sarantine Mosaic duology--I must definitely request it again next year!

Specific story recs are appreciated, though I am unread on many fandoms and may not understand anything. Speculations on which fic I wrote are likewise welcome, though I make no hints to confirm or deny. (It's not a fandom I've talked about much/at all here, anyway.)

I've only read M through P and these are some gems I've found, which are definitely going to be included in the rec post I do later this week:

Skin Shallow, Bone Deep (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/37/skinshallow.html), written for the manga, Mars, and shows Kira and Rei 10 years in the future, settling into married life, and yet looks back at Rei's memories of his twin brother, Sei. It's absolutely beautiful.

and never without sacrifice (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/48/andnever.html), which is Artemis and Apollo fic and just... just read it. It portrays their relationship in stark, tension-filled color.

The Journey West (http://yuletidetreasure.org/archive/55/thejourney.html), for Neil Gaiman's American Gods and tells the story of Monkey, combining myth, legend, and history in a fabulous way.

There's also a Princess Tutu fic I also liked but I don't want to rec it to you if you haven't watched the anime yet because it is spoiler-full.
