To quote from the wikipedia page about Australia as a contient: 'New Zealand is not on the same continental shelf and so is not part of the continent of Australia but is part of the submerged continent Zealandia and the wider region known as Oceania.'
Oceania! That's the word. But a country can still belong to a continent w/out technically being a part of the landmass--Newfoundland, for instance, is clearly an island but also part of North America. And Madagascar is part of Africa.
But whatever. It's your country! (Although I'd love to visit NZ someday.)
Well, it can belong to a continent, but it doesn't mean it has to. Also, I'm a 'mega-dorky nerd' according to that test. I'm not sure how it arrives at that conclusion.
Since when does spending too much time on the internet make one mega-dorky? Bah, humbug. I'm just riding the crest of the wave to the future. In a few years, everyone will be hooked up to the internet. It'll be just like cyberpunk novels, but with less women in tight leather outfits.
