Stuff... and books
Apr. 19th, 2007 09:26 pmStayed up kinda-late backing up all my files with Nero. I wish I'd just slapped everything into one file and made do with the 4-CD chain, but oh well. Too late now. It's running in the background still--I don't dare open Achaea. Our good laptop had a total system crash today, just got restored to factory default. We lost a lot of photos from our spring break trip down to Virginia and DC, but oh well.
I've been reading the Kushiel's Legacy series all week, and I wish I could read them all again, this time slower with a critical eye. I know there were some things that bugged me, but the plot and characters are so compelling that they aren't really that bothersome and I forgot. Kushiel's Scion and Kushiel's Justice (June 2007) seem to be about Imriel instead of Phedre, so I think I'll take a break from Carey for a while. Good books, though. I'm just sorry I can't say exactly why.
