keilexandrarachelmanija, have you read The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni? It's apparently a retelling of the Mahabharata from Princess Panchaali's viewpoint. I like historicals and feminist novels, but the moralistic, retrospective tone in The Blood of Flowers really annoyed me, so I'm on the fence about adding this one to the queue. Your thoughts, or anyone else's?
